University of Houston Engagement Session

I had the pleasure of photographing two lovely souls' engagement portraits this past weekend and soon get to photograph their wedding day!

I talked about this couple in my last blog who wanted to use smoke booms as a prop for their shoot, well here we have Jonna and Evan. Both are high-school art teachers who met  while attending the University of Houston... GO COOGS! :D That being said, we decided to shoot their engagements at non other than UH where they will also have their wedding ceremony.

Listening to their stories of when they were in college together made the shoot that much more unique and charming. Not the mention the purple smoke bombs!!! Yessss. This shoot is a good example for when they say that less is more. There was not an excessive amount of anything, just love..... awwww 🧀 Cheesy but it's the truth!

After deciding on what bench it was, Jonna and Evan sat down at the same, lets say bench area ;), where they first said "I like you" to one another. I was low key melting inside! 😭 I had no idea they would take me to the spot of such a historic moment in their relationship! The first shot where they are both looking at the ground as they reenact that nerve-racking but lovely memory is my favorite.
